Apex Legends ranked: the squad habits that raise your rank
Objective
Callouts, ping discipline, and how to run a trio with strangers without losing rounds to silence.

- 1
Ranked lobbies are decided by information, not aim. Short, structured callouts beat long commentary every time.
- 2
Ping first, talk second. The ping system is faster than your voice. Use it for enemy positions, loot calls, and rotation suggestions.
- 3
Always confirm a rotation before someone takes a fight alone. The most common ranked loss is one player pushing while the other two are looting.
- 4
Play your legend's role. If you're running support, your job is keeping the team alive — not chasing kills. If you're entry, create space and trust your teammates to trade.
- 5
Landing spots matter. Pick a spot with enough loot for three people and a clear rotation path. Hot drops are for pubs, not ranked.
