How to pick a tier

Start with your monitor

Resolution and refresh rate decide how much GPU you actually need. A 1080p 144Hz panel does not need a $1,000 card.

Open worlds lean on the CPU

Games like GTA are CPU-hungry. That is why every build above Entry uses an X3D chip.

Buy the upgrade path

AM5 boards, a good power supply and a roomy case let you swap one part later instead of rebuilding.
