Diablo IV: pushing the Pit and Torment bosses
Objective
Masterworking order, tempering, armor/resistance caps and boss summon efficiency.
5 steps · 3 min read
- 1
Cap defenses first: armor and resistances matter more as you push higher Torment tiers. If you're one-shot, fix defense before damage.
- 2
Temper your gear toward your build's core skill and one defensive affix. Re-roll tempers rather than replacing a good base item.
- 3
Masterwork in the Pit: farm Obducite and Ingolith from Pit runs. Aim crits (every fourth rank) at your highest-value affix.
- 4
Glyphs level in the Pit too
Run a level you can clear quickly to level glyphs, not your maximum.
- 5
Boss summons: every player now pays their own summon materials to open their own reward chest, so grouping no longer gives free loot — it just makes kills faster. Friends can drop you spare materials. You can also fight Lair Bosses on Torment I+ to test your build before spending materials.
