Modern Warfare 4: everything confirmed for October 23, 2026

Korea, an outlaw Captain Price, 12 launch 6v6 maps and the return of DMZ — here's what Infinity Ward has officially confirmed.

Activision and Infinity Ward announced Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 on May 28, 2026. It launches Friday, October 23, 2026 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC and Nintendo Switch 2 — not on PS4 or Xbox One.

The Campaign follows Private Park, a young South Korean soldier on the front lines of a North Korean invasion, alongside an operator-turned-outlaw Captain Price hunting a weapon that could shift the balance of power. Missions span trench warfare in Korea, close quarters in New York, chases through Paris and SAS night raids in Mumbai.

Multiplayer launches with 12 all-new 6v6 maps and new modes including Hijack and Inflation. The open beta featured 22 weapons across nine classes, each with a unique Apex Attachment. DMZ returns as an off-the-books extraction mode.
