- 1
Arcane/Dex Bleed
Rivers of Blood (Mountaintop of the Giants, Church of Repose invader) or any Blood-affinity katana. Level Vigor to 40 first, then Dex and Arcane toward 50–60. Pair with Lord of Blood's Exultation and Rotten Winged Sword Insignia. Bleed procs deal percent-max-HP damage, so it shines on big bosses.
- 2
Int/Dex Spellblade
Moonveil (Magma Wyrm boss drop, Gael Tunnel in Caelid). Needs 12 Str / 18 Dex / 23 Int to wield; push Int to 60+. Transient Moonlight is a fast ranged poke that staggers. Add Carian Slicer and Rock Sling as backup spells, plus Shard of Alexander.
- 3
Faith/Str Fire
Blasphemous Blade (from Rykard, Volcano Manor). Taker's Flames heals you on hit, which makes it the most forgiving build in the game. Level Vigor, Faith 60, Str ~22. Add Flame, Grant Me Strength and Golden Vow buffs.
- 4
Int Frostbite
Dark Moon Greatsword (Ranni's questline end). Frost buildup lowers enemy damage negation, and the weapon skill fires a strong ranged wave. Needs 16 Str / 11 Dex / 38 Int.
- 5
Strength Stagger
Any Colossal weapon with Heavy affinity, Jump attacks and the Two-Handed bonus (Str counts x1.5). Use Bull-Goat's Talisman and Claw Talisman. Jump R1/R2 breaks posture fast, opening critical hits.

Universal rules: Vigor 40 by mid-game and 50–60 for late bosses. Upgrade your weapon before you level damage stats — +3 smithing levels beat 5 points in a stat. Flask split around 9 Crimson / 5 Cerulean is fine for non-casters.
