Only in Leonida: what GTA 6's 26-minute gameplay look actually showed
Rockstar's first real gameplay deep dive premiered on Netflix. Here's what it confirmed — and what it carefully didn't.
On August 27, 2026 Rockstar released Only in Leonida, a roughly 26-minute gameplay-focused look at Grand Theft Auto VI, premiered as a timed Netflix exclusive before a wider release. It is the first extended footage since Trailer 2 in May 2025.
Confirmed by the footage: swimming, wildlife and animal behaviour across the swamp and coast, dramatically more detailed character rendering, and transitions from cutscene to gameplay without a visible break.
The world sections cover Vice City itself plus the Keys, the Grassrivers wetlands and open country — reinforcing that Leonida is several very different driving and traversal environments rather than one city with a green belt.
What it did not do is announce systems. There is still no vehicle list, no combat or loadout detail, no progression breakdown and no mention of any online component. Treat lists of 'confirmed cars' circulating after the video as community observation, not official material.
