GTA 6 price and editions: what $79.99 and $99.99 actually get you
Rockstar announced pricing on June 24, 2026 and opened pre-orders the next day. The Ultimate Edition detail is thinner than most headlines suggest.
Grand Theft Auto VI is $79.99 for the Standard Edition and $99.99 for the Ultimate Edition, announced on June 24, 2026, with pre-orders live on PlayStation and Xbox storefronts and at retail from June 25.
Rockstar describes the Ultimate Edition as adding extra vehicles, clothing and weapon content. It has not published a full itemised list, so anything you see enumerating every bonus is guesswork.
Both editions launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S only. No PC version has been announced, and no upgrade path from one platform to another has been mentioned.
If you are undecided, there is no deadline pressure: digital pre-orders can be cancelled up to release on both storefronts, and nothing in the Ultimate Edition has been described as affecting story access.
